This is just to inform you that the hosting account which includes KVMF.ca is going to be migrated to a new and more powerful server. This migration will take place over the next seven days. I don’t expect any glitches during this process since, in the past, such changes have been uneventful. One can never be certain about such things, of course.
The company providing the server space has this to say about the new server:
The new server has stronger CPU, faster RAM, latest OS, and more importantly SSD Accelerated Drives in RAID10 which will enhance the server read/write speed significantly! It also adopts CDP backup so no more slowness during account backup.
Sounds good to me!

I believe this will have implications for our festival. Please read this and sign the petition. This new government regulation is ridiculous.
Canadian Government to Charge International Touring Artists $425 per Band Member per Performance
Two musical items found at the festival and which have not yet been claimed. A harmonica on a harmonica holder and what looks like a pedal for either a kick drum or a high hat from a drum kit.
Call out for billeters during the July 26-28th festival weekend. Some of our performers need a place to stay. Do you have space to accommodate musicians in your home? Weekend and/or family passes available to those who can help.
Contact email@example.com for more information. Please put “Billeting” in the subject.
The 2013 headliners are now listed on the web site. There might be one or two additions still to come but most of them are posted.
To see a photo and bio, select from the drop-down menu under Headliners. To visit the artist’s web site, click on their photo.

For any marketplace vendors out there that have yet to send in applications, the deadline is this Friday, June 21st. After that late fees take effect. Spaces are limited and filling up. 🙂 Applications can be found on the website.
Please note that the coordinators and board members don’t necessarily scan the web site regularly checking to see if anyone has made comments that are relevant to their festival duties. If you have a question or comment that requires the attention of a coordinator or board member, please use the Contact form provided on the Contact page to be sure that it gets where it needs to go.
The Volunteer Application form is now available on the web site. You select it from the Applications drop-down menu above.
