People are asking us when the KVMF schedule will be ready. Believe us, we’re as eager to get it out as you are. However, it is by nature a very dynamic document and our artistic directors are hard at work. A preliminary version, subject to constant change, might be available a couple weeks before the festival. At the earliest, the “official” version will be available one week before. Hang in there. It’s going to be great!
There will be a festival meeting on Sunday, July 9 at 1 pm on the Kispiox Valley Community Grounds. Everyone welcome.
Our first work bee is happening this weekend, starting at 11 am on the festival grounds! Bring yard work tools, maybe carpentry tools if that’s your thing, or just yourself and your desire to help make this year’s festival a success.
Thee will be a work bee, same time same place, every Sunday until Festival time, except for the first weekend in July.
Your participation in a work bee goes toward your volunteer hours to earn a free pass to the festival:
- 10 hrs = weekend pass
- 6 hrs = youth weekend pass (youth=12-18 years old)
- 24 hrs = weekend pass plus meals at Hospitality Kitchen (must be completed BEFORE the festival)

Hey folks, here are the confirmed acts for this year’s festival, so far. This list doesn’t differentiate between headliners and those whom we’ve usually described as “regional performers”. Aaron and Brandi, our artistic directors, are still in negotiation with more bands, so this is not yet a complete list.
Pico’s Puppet Palace
My Son the Hurricane
Rachelle van Zanten
The Hundred Schools of Thought
Theresa Michelle Mohr
The Dearly Departed
THEE NIGHT BAMM
The Brazen Harlots
Stacy Reynolds Band
C’est La Vie
The Damn Beavers
Way North of Dixie Jazz Band
We’re having a general meeting of the Kispiox Valley Music Festival Society at 2 pm on Sunday, April 30th. (The location is still to be confirmed. I’ll edit this post as needed.)
New members welcome! Come on out and help make this year’s festival great!
I’m adding eight photos for use in the slider on the main page. They are all taken from Elizabeth Larsen’s photos uploaded to the KVMF group on Facebook.
